The Trojans baseball team faced stingy competition in each of their trio of contests last week. Although they were unable to pick up a victory, Turkey Valley showed they can compete with the better teams in the state.
After getting swept in a doubleheader by Waverly-Shell Rock two weeks ago, New Hampton picked up a huge victory over Oelwein to stay in the hunt for a Northeast Iowa Conference championship.
The Turkey Valley softball team ended the regular season on a strong note, as they posted a record of 4-1 last week to finish 16-15 overall and 11-5 in Upper Iowa Conference play.
