Gearing up for playoffs

New Hampton softball coach Jack Seelhammer knew immediately; senior Sadie Tenge did not.
But either way, Tenge’s blast to right-center field last Tuesday night gave the New Hampton softball team a thrilling 4-3 walk-off victory to start what would be a doubleheader sweep of Waukon.
“I knew I hit it pretty good,” Tenge said, “but I didn’t really know until I got to first base and could hear all my teammates going nuts.”
