He was born May 10, 1945, in New Hampton to Donald William and Ella Mae (Thomas)Rankin.

David Joseph Geerts, age 74 of North Washington, died Friday, June 28, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Daniel Kahn Budweg, age 41 of Cedar Falls and formerly of New Hampton, died Thursday, June 27, 2024, at his home of natural causes.

Chad Flick, age 40 of Ionia, died Friday, June 21, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A private family burial will take place at St. Boniface Cemetery in Ionia.

Kathryn Lee Gitch, age 78 of Asheville, North Carolina and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Monday, June 17, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Marlys (Marty) Jean Dodge, age 87 of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

Marty was born in New Hampton to Paul and Karina (Knutson) Hartson on Oct. 24, 1936.

Teri Blaylock, age 54 of Elma, died Saturday, June 15, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Pamela Renee Larson, age 65 of Clear Lake, died Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at her home.

Virgil Lee Snyder, known affectionately as Virgil to his friends and family, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in Waterloo, leaving behind a legacy of courage, wisdom and an unwavering commitment to his community. 

Doris Ann Ries, age 84 of New Hampton, died Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Arnold “Arnie” Edward Busta, age 83 of Lawler, died Tuesday, June 4,  2024 at his home surrounded by family.

Sara Folkers, age 68 of Alta Vista, died Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at her home.

Mary Eleanor Lensing, age 87 of Marion, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, May 25, 2024, following a short illness at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
