Leonard J. Rosonke, age 84 of New Hampton, died Friday, May 17, 2019, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warming for parts of Chickasaw County, including the city of New Hampton, that will remain in effect through 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

A trio of events punched their ticket to the state track meet for the Turkey Valley girls’ track team on Friday evening at Edgewood-Colesburg High School. 

It was a sectional field Turkey Valley coach John Reicks thought his team could have qualified in, had they been able to play with their top two golfers.

It was not exactly the start — bogey, double bogey — Ryan Anderson envisioned Friday at the Class 2A sectional boys golf meet.
