Nashua women wins $100,000 lottery prize

A Chickasaw County woman has claimed a $100,000 lottery prize.
Maria Janssen, 65, of Nashua was in shock after she claimed the 16th of 17 top prizes of $100,000 available in the lottery’s “$100,000 Mega Crossword” scratch game.

Melissa Sue ‘Missy’ Schweer, 41

Melissa Sue “Missy” Schweer, age 41 of New Hampton, died peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, in New Hampton surrounded by her family. 
Missy courageously fought brain cancer for the last 14 years.

Maurice ‘Mick’ Merfeld, 84

Maurice “Mick” Merfeld, age 84 of Nashua, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at Nora Springs Care Center in Nora Springs. 
A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Nashua. 

Annette Peters, 47

Annette Peters,  age 47 of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
