Rosemary Schwickerath, age 84 of Alta Vista, died Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Colonial Manor of Elma.

Dale Stringer, age 69 of New Hampton, died Monday, March 18, 2024, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

The good news is that the winter storm that moved through Chickasaw County Thursday night and Friday morning was more of a dud than anything.

Cindy Lou McLean Lockey, age 65, passed away in her home on Friday, March 15, 2024.

Cindy was born in Waterloo and grew up in Charles City with her sister, Susan McGinn, and parents, Loyal and Norma McLean.
