Mary Leone Rowe, 92

Mary Leone Rowe age 92, of Bloomington, Indiana, formerly of Nashua, Iowa died Thursday, June 27, 2019, in Bloomington.
A final commendation will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at the Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel in Nashua with graveside services to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery, Ionia.
Friends may greet the family from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Nashua, Iowa for roof repair.
Mary was born on October 31, 1926, in Lindsey, NE to the late Joseph and Ruby Hau. Mary grew up in Lindsey, NE then Ionia, IA with her 6 siblings. She did her nurses training in Hammond, IN at St. Margaret Hospital. Mary was employed by St. Margaret Hospital as Head of Nursing Emergency Room. She later worked as a nurse for Dr. Maroc in Munster, IN. Mary married Lawrence Rowe and resided in Munster, IN raising two sons, Thomas Rowe of Bloomington, IN and Robert Rowe of Red Lake, ON. Mary moved with Larry to Canada as a fishing camp owner. She returned in 1992 to Nashua, IA.
Mary is survived by her 2 sons, Thomas (Jennifer) Rowe and Robert (Nancy) Rowe; 6 grandchildren, Rebecca Roeder, Bloomington, IN, Matt Rowe, Denver, CO, Kate Rowe, Petaluma, CA, Kim Lannotti, Seattle, WA, Danial Rowe, Marquette, MI and Mike Rowe, Red Lake, ON; 8 great-grandchildren, David Roeder, Gwen Roeder, Henry Rowe, Alexandria Rowe, Mateo Iannotti, Oliver Iannoti, Elijah Iannotti, and Maddie Rowe; 3 sisters, Kathy Harrington, Nashua, IA, Ruth Garland, St. George, UT, Dorothy Sinwell, Jobestown, NJ; many nieces, nephews and other loving family.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Rowe; brothers, Robert and George Hau; and sister, Jane Harrington.
