Season sweeps for Trojans over Central, Postville

Leading the Upper Iowa Conference, MFL’s boys only have one league loss on the season at 11-1. The Bulldogs were the pick of Turkey Valley coach Chris Sullivan to win the UIC this year.    Two teams have three losses, and Turkey Valley with their 10-3 record is one of them.    While the hectic week continues tonight [Friday] at Lansing Kee and Saturday at Clayton Ridge, the first two games of the week went a long way to ensure a top-tier finish in the 11-team conference.    Monday the Trojan boys visited and beat Central of Elkader 57-46, Tuesday they rolled over Postville 51-29, the second win of the season against both teams.    But against Central the TV boys trailed 11-9 after a quarter.  The rest of the story may be found in the Feb. 3 Tribune.
