Even if New Hampton had received all Division II ratings this past Saturday in Decorah, its large-group speech coach knows his team would have achieved something that will last a lot longer than a high school speech season.

Lorraine L. Busta, age 94 of Protivin, formerly of Little Turkey, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Delano B. Weber, age 81 of Marshalltown, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. 

Charles Hurd, age 70 of Nashua, died Thursday, February 8, 2018, at his home.

Marie Siglin, age 79 of Ionia, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Virgil Duane Munson, age 85 of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. 
Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. 

Roger L. Horton, age 66 of New Hampton, passed away on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center-New Hampton.

Mabel (Rochford) Owens, age 101 of Northridge, Calif., and formerly of New Hampton, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at her home in Northridge.
