Braving the elements
There was a sight at the Turkey Valley trapshooting meet Tuesday that was worth the price of admission (if there was an admission, which there isn’t) and somewhat of a rare sighting this spring.Kids in shirtsleeves. Not many, to be certain, but a couple. And those students looked painfully cold as they shot their way through their 50 targets against Osage.TV Black, with Dalton Rush’s 46, a 45 by Brad Kriener, 40s by Jared Bruch and Codi Wurzer and a 37 by Tristen Langreck had the second-best score at 208; Osage 2 had the best mark of 214. Both TV Gold and Osage 1 tied for third with a 205.The score by Rush tied for the top score, but in the shootoff, he scored a 15 to a 22 by Osage’s Nathan Wihlm.“I was really, really nervous,” said Rush. “I’ve never been in a shootoff before.”
