Trojan boys advance to district semifinal

The last time Turkey Valley and Kee High played, freshman Ethan Leibold scored 12 points. So even though the Trojans won by 13 in that Feb. 3 contest, with Leibold out with a case of the flu in their opening round of district action against  Kee Thursday, coach Chris Sullivan knew it would be hard for a repeat win.    It was, but the Trojans pulled out a 49-42 victory.    “We knew tonight was going to be a battle, especially with our leading scorer and rebounder out,” Sullivan said. “We talked before the game about someone stepping up in his place and finding a way to win and advance.”    After a quarter the Trojans were down 11-8, but by the half the game was tied at 21.  The rest of the story may be found in the Feb. 21 Tribune.
