Pony Express has grown by leaps, bounds

Good Friday is 101 days away, and that may be an eternity for some of us.Not so, however, for Pam Lore.For years, Lore and her family have been a big part of the Pony Express, the annual Easter Weekend ride that converges on Des Moines and has raised millions of dollars for Camp Sunnyside.Lore is one of the folks in charge of the “regional ride” that begins at the Chickasaw County line every Good Friday and makes it way to Plainfield, where riders continue onto Iowa Falls and then head to Ankeny on Saturday.But she's understandably proud of her area's role in the Pony Express.For the complete story see the 1/3/2017 New Hampton Tribune.
