New Hampton prepares to ring in the holidays

With the holidays right around the corner, upcoming weekends in New Hampton will be filled with events to get New Hampton and area residents in the holly, jolly spirit with a variety of new and returning events.Coming up on Friday, Nov. 25, Black Friday deals will hit New Hampton businesses, bringing Christmas shoppers to town to begin, or end, their holiday shopping.The very next day, Saturday, Nov. 26, New Hampton will celebrate Small Business Saturday with more fantastic deals and fun around town.To begin December off right, New Horizons-Chamber will hold Santa Saturday on the first Saturday, Dec. 3, with the annual Great Plays Daycare Santa Store kicking off the morning. Kids can shop without their parents for gifts costing between $1-$3 from 8 a.m. to noon at the New Hampton Community Center. Elves will be around to help kids shop. The Carnegie will be holding Make It and Take It crafts, decorating cookies and ornaments as well as having Santa available for photos! The Carnegie will also hold  a tree lighting that night.
