Mary Jo Harlan, 79

Mary Jo Harlan, age 79 of Minneapolis, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, Minn., surrounded by her family.She was born March 19, 1939, to Nick and Loretta (Meighan) Laures.Mary Jo was a 1957 graduate of New Hampton High School.In 1966, she married Art Harlan and they had five children.She is survived by her children, Jodie Anderson, Gretchen Schaefer, Tony (Kara) Harlan, Kevin (Julie) Harlan and Dayna (Sok) Ung; 11 grandchildren; brother, Ray (JoAnn) Laures, Dewitt.; sisters, Bernie (Larry) Novack, Robbinsdale, Minn., Agnes (Barry) Pearson, Arizona, and Gina (Ron) Gustas of Colorado; and sisters-in-law, Janet Laures of Waterloo, and Dorothy Laures, Rockford, Ill.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Art in 1986; and two brothers, Donald and Paul.After the burial services on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, at Incarnation Catholic Church, she was laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with her husband, Art.Online condolences may be offered at www.henrywanderson.com.
