Lady Trojans headed back to Des Moines!

Lead Summary

They made history last year as the first Turkey Valley girls basketball team to advance to the state tourney, now they're going back. With a 47-33 win over AGWSR Monday night, Turkey Valley will advance to play in Des Moines next Monday at the Wells Fargo Arena, where they finished second a year ago.   Turkey Valley had the lead over AGWSR in the low-scoring game, 25-20 going into the fourth quarter, and it became even closer at 25-22 with 6:32 left in the game. But the Trojans made 100 percent of their free throws for the contest, including a 12-for-12 effort in the fourth quarter.  Shelby Reicks led the scoring with 20 points and Morgen Kuennen finished with 12.  The TV girls will play next Monday, Feb. 27 against Janesville in a game set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
