It’s not a win, but N-P girls do bounce back

Maybe it wasn’t a win, but Nashua-Plainfield’s 54-36 loss to Northwood-Kensett Friday sure beat the alternative.  It beat the heck out of the Huskies’ performance the night before when Osage rolled to a 73-15 victory over Nashua-Plainfield.  “I was really happy with the way we played for the most part against N-K,” Nashua-Plainfield coach Josh Smith said. “There were a couple of times where we had some mental lapses on defense and help wasn't there on their post, but other than that it was nice to see us compete after what had happened the night before.”  The game against Osage was, to put it bluntly, a nightmare as the Green Devils rolled out to a 39-6 halftime lead and extended the advantage to 61-11 heading into the final quarter.  More on the story may be found in the Jan. 19 Reporter.
