Irene C. Brincks, age 94 of Waucoma, died Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler, with the Rev. Aaron Junge celebrating the Mass. The pall will be placed on the casket by her seven children.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Lawler with Ben Moetsch, Matt Brincks, Adam Brincks, Josh Smith, Donovan Smith, and Michael Brincks serving as pallbearers.Friends may greet the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton. Visitation continues an hour prior to the Mass at the church in Lawler, on Wednesday.

Irene Clementine (Loesch) Brincks, the daughter of Clement and Aloisia (Infeld) Loesch, was born November 18, 1924, on the family farm near Fort Atkinson.
She attended St. Wenceslaus School at Spillville.
On Oct. 3, 1945, Irene was united in marriage to Alphonse (Al) Brincks at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville. The couple was blessed with seven children — Jim, Gene, John, Tom, Mary, Kathy and Sr. Joan Brincks PBVM.
The couple farmed near Lawler. Irene and Al farmed side by side until Al’s death in 1983.
Following his death, Irene remained farming with her son, Tom.
She retired on the home place in 1997 and remained living there until the day of her death.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She was an active member and loved to help with church card parties and church picnics.
Irene had a strong faith and deep devotion to Mary, giving her strength through her life.
Through her kindness and generosity, Irene prepared huge feasts for family and friends during the holidays.
She enjoyed her life outdoors, loved her animals, loved to bake kolaches and poppy seed rolls and enjoyed being with family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Irene is survived by her four sons, Jim (Jeanne) Brincks of Grand Prairie, Texas, Gene (Donna) Brincks of Fredericksburg, John (Charlotte) Brincks of Lawler, and Tom Brincks of Waucoma; three daughters, Mary (Deacon Ron) Smith of Nevada, Kathy (Deacon Mike) Moetsch of Cedar Falls, and Sr. Joan Brincks, PBVM of Dubuque; 16 grandchildren and one step-grandchild; 34 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine Hackman of New Hampton; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alphonse (Al), who passed away Feb. 10, 1983; brothers, Dan and Adrian Loesch; and one sister, Evelyn Klimesh.
