Huskies complete a sweep

Lead Summary

Nashua-Plainfield coach Justin Eiffler’s oft-stated goal for his team this year is to get 1 percent better each day.  For the most part, the Huskies have achieved the goal.  There have been blips — a cold start last Thursday night in a loss to Mason City Newman and a tough night Monday against Rockford to name a couple — but for the most part the Huskies continue to make progress.  Take Friday night’s game at Manly, where the Huskies put together a solid effort in a 57-30 win over Central Springs to complete a season sweep of the Panthers.  Isaac Chambers led the way as the sophomore hit 6-of-8 shots from the field, including a blistering 5-of-6 from beyond the 3-point arc, to finish with 19 points.  “He is a very hard worker on both sides of the court, and he is using his size and quickness to his advantage,” Eiffler said. “He is starting to hit his stride at a good time during the season.”  For the full story, please see the Jan. 26 Reporter.
