Drilling, age 90 of New Hampton, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018, at Linn Haven Rehab and Health Care in New Hampton.Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton, with Father Brian Dellaert celebrating mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at New Hampton.Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton, and will continue on Friday one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. There will be a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Scriptual Wake Service at 7 p.m.Online condolences for Gloria’s family may be left at www.conway-markhamfh.com.  Memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice or Gloria’s family.Gloria Ann (Praska) Drilling was born on Oct. 4, 1927, to Louis and Florence Praska on a farm near Elma. She attended country school near Lourdes and the Catholic School in Lourdes. She graduated from Cresco High School in Cresco. Gloria attended Upper Iowa College in Fayette and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. She taught in Howard County country schools and kindergarten in Fredericksburg for a short time. Gloria was united in marriage to Arnold Drilling on Aug. 2, 1950, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Lourdes. Gloria enjoyed socializing with family and friends, dancing, traveling and tending to her flower gardens. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Rosary Soceity.Gloria is survived by her children, Kathleen (Tom) Jepson, Elaine (Dan) Olsen,  James (Judy) Drilling, Richard (Teresa) Drilling, and Robert Drilling; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother Gerald (Elverna) Praska.Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Florence Praska; her husband Arnold; and brothers Francis, Donald and Leo.
