Geraldine 'Gerri Franzen Randall, 74

Gerladine “Gerri” Franzen Randall, age 74 of Eyota, Minn. died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at Mayo Clinic’s St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.Gerri was born Dec. 27, 1943, at the New Hampton Hospital to Arnold and Elsie (Wilke) Franzen.On Oct. 28. 1967, she married Robert Randall at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Eyota. Together they farmed until moving to Arbor Gardens in Eyota this past February.Gerri  enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, cooking for 14 priests weekly, cleaning the rectory and church, serving as a religion teacher, working as a dietician aid in a Rochester hospital, operating a day care for 40 years at her home and traveling toIowa, Colorado and Idaho to see her family.Her husband, Bob, died April 3, 2018.She is survived by her children, Stacy (Rob) Timlin of Littleton, Colo., and Dan (Michelle) Randall of McCall, Idaho; grandchildren, Lex and Zach; one brother, Larry (Mary) Franzen, Fredericksburg; and four sisters, Leona ( Fred) Murray, Fredericksburg, Linda (Ken) Schaufenbuel, Lawler, Lorraine (Frank) Armbrecht, Fredericksburg and LeAnn Franzen, Lawer.Gerri was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Elsie Franzen; her husband, Bob; and four brothers, Lyle, Lee, LaVerne and Lennie.A Funeral Mass was held on Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Eyota, with Father Tim Biren officiating.Vistation was one hour prior to the service at the church onMonday.Burial Will be at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Eyota.Schad-Zabel Funeral Home in Eyota was in charge of arrangements.
