Eunice M. Borlaug, age 84 of Saude, IA, died Thursday, July 5, 2018, at her home.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at Saude Lutheran Church with Pastor Peter Faugstad officiating.
Inurnment will be held in the Saude Lutheran Church Cemetery following the service.

Eunice Marie Borlaug was born January 11, 1934, on the family farm in rural Howard County, IA, the daughter of Ernest and Millie (Hovey) Buri. She attended country school throughout her grade school years, and graduated from Harmony High School in 1953. Eunice was united in marriage to Harold Borlaug on September 13, 1959, at the Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony, MN. To this union three children were born.
Eunice's life was the farm and everything that was involved with it. Eunice was a keystone to the farming operation. She worked in the fields alongside Harold during the planting and harvest seasons. She raised ducks, chickens and turkeys as a way to help feed her family. Eunice had large vegetable and flower gardens where she spent hours tending and clutivating them. Eunice loved cats and always had several cats living on the farm. She was an active member of the Saude Lutheran Church and spent numerous years on the Ladies Aid.
Eunice is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold Borlaug of Saude, IA; two sons, Jonathan Borlaug of Waukon, IA and Tom (Monica) Borlaug of Prior Lake, MN; three grandchildren, Ashlee Borlaug, Benjamin (Katie) Borlaug and Molly Borlaug; one brother, Richard (Betty) Buri of Stewartville, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Todd Borlaug (1998); and two brothers in infancy.
