Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler with Rev. Kyle Digmann celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in the church cemetery.Friends may greet the family 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler, where there will be a 3 p.m. parish scripture service. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in Lawler is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences for Betty's family may be left at hugebackfuneralhome.comElizabeth “Betty, Bets” Ann Busta was born Sept. 4, 1945, in New Hampton, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth “Lizzie” (Heley) Busta. She attended country school then attended school in Fort Atkinson and was a 1963 graduate from Turkey Valley. She had lived on the home farm place near Jackson Junction and then later moved into Lawler. Betty worked as a home day care provider,T & W Company, Hardees, Soy Basics and was presently a substitute cook for the Turkey Valley School District. Betty loved playing cards, baking and delivering baked goods to friends and was especially known for the kolaches she made and shared with everyone. She loved attending the events of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was an avid social butterfly and always wore a huge smile that went with her welcoming nature.Those left to cherish her memory are a sister, Darlene Gebel of New Hampton; four brothers, Eddie (Geraldine) Busta, Arnie (Sandy) Busta, all of Lawler, Bernie (Karen) Busta of Waucoma; Jim (Mary Lou) Busta of Onalaska, WI; sister-in-law, Angie Busta of Waucoma; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lorraine (Edward) Panos, Gladys (Richard) Balik; brother, Walter Busta; brother-in-law, Francis Gebel; nieces Linda Balik and Bonnie Panos.
