Eldean Herman Mueller dies at 81

Eldean Herman Mueller, age 81, of Plainfield, died Thursday, May 4,
2017, at his home.
Eldean was born on March 28, 1936, on the family farm in rural
Bremer County, the son of Herman and Leona (Bergmann) Mueller. He
attended Douglas 5 country school to the eight grade and then Frederika
High School graduating in 1955. Eldean then served in the United States
Army from 1958 to 1961. On July 22, 1962, Eldean was united in marriage to
Myrna Jacobs at St. John's Lutheran Church in Clarksville. The couple
would spend their lives farming together in rural Plainfield. Besides
farming Eldean also worked for Mueller Mobile Milling, hauled milk for
Farmers Butter and Dairy in Fredericksburg, and for Terex Crane in
Waverly where he retired.
Eldean was a lifetime member of St. John's United Church of
Christ-Siegel rural Waverly, where he was baptized on April 19, 1936
and confirmed on April 2, 1950. He enjoyed farming, Iowa Hawkeye Sports,
going to auctions, and restoring pedal tractors, however, what Eldean
enjoyed most was time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Eldean's memory is honored by: wife, Myrna Mueller of Plainfield; two sons,
Mitchell (Ann) Mueller of Waverly, and Matthew (Lisa) Mueller of
Plainfield; three daughters, Marlea (Loran) Van Raden of Plainfield,
Marcella (Lawain) Biermann of Tripoli, and Marisa (Jason) Hansen
of Nashua; seventeen grandchildren, Brandi (Brad) Manahl, Aimee (Dan)
Deuell, Kacie (Zach) Sinnwell, Vince Van Raden, Zachary Mueller, Blake
Biermann, Hunter Mueller, Brayden Biermann, Dayton Hansen, Shaylee Hansen,
Marina Biermann, Breven Biermann, Jase Hansen, Avery Mueller, Jaxson Hansen,
Gavin Mueller, and Vaughn Mueller; six great-grandchildren, Maverick and
Dominick Sinnwell, Mia and Rylee Manahl, and Carter and Ava Deuell; a
brother, Allen (Rudine) Mueller of Circle Pines, Minn; two sisters,
Marlene Sassman of Tripoli and Jolyn (David) Schwarze of Tripoli; and
a daughter-in-law, Jenny (Mueller) Leerhoff of Clarksville. He was
preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Michael Mueller on August 21,
2003; and a brother-in-law, Alvin Sassmann Jr.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral
Home in Waverly, where the family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017, at St.
John's United Church of Christ-Siegel, rural Waverly. Burial will
follow in the church cemetery with Waverly Area Veterans giving honors.
