Cousins lead the way for Turkey Valley on the mat

The Reicks cousins picked up all the points Turkey Valley scored both Thursday in a pair of dual meets at North Fayette Valley and the Flanagan Invitational at Cresco over the weekend, where the Trojans trailed the field of eight schools.  The Thursday duals ended a long layoff for the Trojan wrestlers as it had been 3 1/2 weeks since the team was in competition.  After placing third at the Flanagan last year, Cale Reicks took the title this year at 160, pinning both of his opponents. He also won Thursday with a fall and a decision and is currently 15-1, with his only loss to second-ranked, 2A New Hampton wrestler Ryan Gorman.  Kelby Reicks sparred with a ranked wrestlers each day. Turkey Valley results from each day may be found in the Jan. 10 Tribune.
