Chickasaws roll to win

Lead Summary

Jake Zwanziger didn’t hesitate Friday night what the difference has been for him since Christmas.  “I’m not forcing it like I did and I’m kind of just letting the game come to me,” the New Hampton junior said after he scored a game-high 17 points in the Chickasaws’ 81-46 victory over Waukon. “I think I’m just a little more relaxed ... well, maybe a lot more relaxed.”  And that’s good because Zwanziger continued his post-Christmas tear. In the six games before the holidays, Zwanziger averaged 6.7 points a game; in games played in 2017, he’s averaging 16.8 points an outing.  “He’s playing way more under control,” New Hampton coach Chad Sweitzer said after his team improved to 5-5 overall and 2-2 in NEIC play.  For the full story, please see the Jan. 17 Tribune.
