Chickasaws land two on all-state

Lead Summary

Maybe in the back of his mind one of Josh Fenske’s preseason individual goals was to make an all-state team.  But ...  “During the season it just vanished,” the junior linebacker said, “and all of us were just playing football.”  Fenske played it well enough to be named to the Iowa Newspaper Association’s Class 2A all-state first team. And he wasn’t the lone Chickasaw honored as senior Kam Pfaffle was named a third team offensive lineman.  For a second straight year, Fenske led New Hampton in tackles as he finished with 73 in New Hampton’s 8-2 season that included a sixth straight trip to the state playoffs.  But he was quick to point out that he had plenty of help on his way to being selected as a defensive utility player.  The rest of the story may be found in the Nov. 25 Tribune.
