A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Holy Family Parish, New Hampton, with Rev. Brian Dellaert celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Hampton.
Friends may greet the family 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in New Hampton where there will be a &:00 p.m. parish scripture service. Agnes Mary Brincks was born August 12, 1934, in New Hampton, IA, the daughter of John and Wilhelmina (Schwickerath) Zeien. She attended St. Mary’s Grade School and High School in North Washington graduating in 1952. On October 21, 1952, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Washington, she married Guido Bernard Brincks. To this union nine children were born. The couple initially lived near Jerico, IA, and then in Waterloo for a short period before settling back in New Hampton.
While raising her children, Agnes also helped Guido with his excavating business. Agnes later worked many full time years at Tri-Mark Corporation and after retiring, began helping there on a part-time basis. Following her working years, she spent many hours volunteering at the Treasure Chest in New Hampton. Agnes loved her garden and cared for her flowers and raising vegetable for her family. She enjoyed making crafts and had made thousands of rosaries that were sent to remote countries. She was famous for her homemade donuts and hand cut noodles. She also loved embroidering dish towels and baby blankets that were made as gifts for her ever growing family. Agnes truly loved the fun times she spent with her family who will miss her dearly.
Survivors include five daughters, Norma (Kevin) Rodgers of Des Moines, Barbara (Maurice) Gieber of Belleville, KS, Marjorie (David) Collins of St. Peter, MN, Susan (Joseph) Balik of Ft. Atkinson, IA, Debra (Gary) Schwickerath of New Hampton; four sons, Tim Brincks of New Hampton, Bernard (Sherrie) Brincks of Ionia, IA, William Brincks (Steph) of Frederika, Michael (Jill) Brincks of New Hampton; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis (Rita) Zeien of New Hampton, Vincent Zeien of Waverly; one sister-in-law, Lucille Zeien of New Hampton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Guido on May 13, 2005, four grandchildren; three brothers, Louis Zeien, Alvin Zeien, Elmer Zeien; one sister, Romana Ryant.
