We’re playing some ball!
They pitched some softball, they hit some baseballs and, heck, some kids even dressed up and went to prom.
Welcome back, normalcy, or at least, hello, “new normal.”
“I think it was great for the kids to get that sense of normalcy,” New Hampton Activities Director Brad Schmitt said, “and it’s different, no question about it, but I think everything went OK for the most part with the first week.”
The new normal for high school baseball and softball includes more recent cleaning of equipment, special products used to sanitize bleachers and dugouts and live streaming games, and it also means a "drive-through" grand march at a Nashua-Plainfield High School.
