Turkey Valley earns sweep at Postville

Lead Summary

With a score reminiscent of the Turkey Valley girls teams of a couple years ago, the Trojans started a doubleheader at Postville Tuesday with a 65-8 win, prior to the TV boys making it a sweep, 52-41 over the Pirates.

The boys game started out with a big Trojan lead as they were on the best end of a 19-6 first quarter score and extended the lead to 15 by the half.
“Tonight we got off to a fast start and we did a good job of moving the ball and finding the open man,” coach Chris Sullivan said. “At halftime we talked about getting another fast start and not letting them hang around but we came out flat and did the complete opposite and they cut into our lead. We did enough things late to get out of there with a 52-41 win.”
