Turkey Valley assistant named coach of the year

Lead Summary

After a regular season that saw the Turkey Valley offense average a whopping 62.9 points per game, the Trojans’ offensive coordinator, Dan Stepan, was honored.
Stepan was tagged as the Iowa High School Athletic Association’s Eight-Player Assistant Coach of the Year due to TV’s offensive outburst.
“Generally, when you receive awards like this, it means you’ve been at it for a long time,” he said with a laugh. “It also means you’ve been part of a successful program.”
