Trojans roll past G-R in home opener

Lead Summary

Turkey Valley took advantage of a couple Gladbrook-Reinbeck mistakes early in the ball game to grab a lead and used this momentum to cruise to 48-14 blowout victory on Friday night in their home opener to move their record to 2-0.
“Our mindset is to always play as a team, work hard and execute our game plan,” senior quarterback Ethan Leibold said. “We also knew Gladbrook-Reinbeck was going to run the ball most of the time, so we had to stop the run in order to win.”
Gladbrook-Reinbeck marched the ball inside the Turkey Valley ten yard line on their opening drive, but they were unable to put any points on the board after a holding penalty set them back.
