Trojans blowout Central Elkader; play Rockford in playoff opener Friday

Lead Summary

After securing the district championship two weeks ago against Easton Valley, it would have been easy for the Turkey Valley football team to overlook their final opponent of the regular season - winless Central Elkader. However, that didn’t happen, as the Trojans dominated from the opening kickoff on their way to a 78-0 victory.
“This game topped off an undefeated regular season,” coach Mark Scott said. “We played well against a struggling Central Elkader team.”
This included a big first quarter for Turkey Valley, as they were able to post a whopping 38 points on the board.
