Trojan boys pick up blowout win in district opener
Turkey Valley’s boys started their postseason game against Central rather slowly, but it wasn’t the first time it took awhile for the scoring machines to get rolling. Once they did, the Trojans breezed to a 68-34 win.
It had been eight days since the Trojans played their final regular-season game, which coach Chris Sullivan said let the team “get out of the rhythm that was established.”
“We still shouldn’t have played the way we did,” said Trojan senior Elliott Dietzenbach. “But coach gave us a pretty good talking to at the half and we realized how important it was to get focused. We got our heads back in the game.”
