Tripoli ends Trojans’ turnaround season

Lead Summary

Even though the Turkey Valley volleyball season came to an end last Monday night at the hands of Tripoli, the season was a vast improvement from past years. The Trojan girls finished with a record of 20-13 after going 4-22 the year prior.
“We were one win away from matching the [number of wins in the] previous three years combined, and that says a lot about how hard this team worked to earn this season,” said coach Ethan Adams. “Last night was definitely a hard end to a very positive season. These girls put a lot of work into the off-season and it paid off.”
After starting with an early 6-0 deficit in game one of the regional second round against Tripoli, Turkey Valley lost the first set 25-15, but in the second set the TV girls kept the score close throughout.
