Lead Summary

The Halloween Parade line literally stretched for blocks Saturday morning, and New Hampton Parks and Recreation Director Rick Kramer couldn’t help but smile.“I guess a few people showed up,” he said with his tongue firmly planted in his cheek. “This is pretty crazy.”All told, more than 300 people — mostly kids but quite a few adults, too — took part in the city’s annual Halloween Parade on one of those perfect God-given fall days. There were super heroes, there were Dorothys and even a Toto or two, there were football players, there were lions, there were pumpkins, there were cops and robbers and just about anything else you can think of making into a Halloween costume. For the complete story see the 11/1/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
