Stopping the Damm runner

Lead Summary

The district’s leading rusher had some pretty impressive numbers in the first four weeks of the season. And then Central City’s Isaiah Damm met up with Turkey Valley’s defense.
After carrying the ball for 201 yards in week one, Damm went for 155, 154 and 164 yards to average 12.71 yards per carry. Friday in the Trojan 48-10 win, the TV defense held the senior back to 17 yards on 11 tries, or 1.5 yards a rush.
“We knew in order to win that stopping their main running back would be important,” senior Eli Reicks said.
