Simply the best!
Better than all the rest.
New Hampton’s girls golf team has been trying to get there the last two years, and 2019 was the year the Chickasaws finally knocked down the door.
And, like all the rest of the Chickasaw meets this year, the margin by which they won the Class 2A state tournament last week was incredible. New Hampton opened the tournament with a 335 and then closed it with a new 18-hole school record 327 to win the championship by 59 strokes over runner-up Okoboji.
To put that in perspective, the margin between Okoboji and eighth-place Tipton was 50 strokes.
