Officials provide feedback on Chickasaw County audit

The regular annual audit for fiscal 2017 by a local, private accounting firm covered some of the same time frame as did a state audit of fiscal 2016 and 2017 (2015-16 and 2016-17), which was released in November.Neil Schraeder, CPA with Hacker, Nelson & Co. P.C., discussed the management letter with the County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, March 20. The board had already approved for the chairman to sign it, calling it a “representation letter” in meeting minutes from Monday, March 12.

Clarification from print edition, published April 6
The only overpayment that actually made it to the county attorney was $75, Auditor Joan Knoll clarified, in response to our Tuesday, April 3 story, “Officials provide feedback on Chickasaw County audit.”
