New Hampton lets leads slip away in loss

Runs in volleyball happen at a frenetic pace and often materialize without warning.
Blink and you might miss them because they can happen that fast.
This particular bevy of points by the Charles City Comets left the New Hampton Chickasaws stunned in each team’s Northeast Iowa Conference opener on Tuesday evening.
A trip to the concession stand for some popcorn and a candy bar might not have been the best idea if you were hoping to catch all of the constant back-and-forth action.
New Hampton was the one left staring at the scoreboard in disbelief as Charles City picked themselves up off the ground to rally and drop the Chickasaws with an impressive three-game sweep.
