Mehmens appreciates help in search

To the many people of Northeast Iowa who helped in some way in our search for Cloris, we thank you. We know that hundreds of miles were searched on foot, by air, and on water during hot, humid, and stormy weather in tall corn, timber, and vegetation under terrible conditions.  While the search for Cloris continues, know that we appreciate all of your efforts in this ongoing effort. We would like to thank the following for their involvement in the search for Cloris:• Members of the 27 fire departments responding from across Northeast Iowa,• EMS agencies,• Emergency Management Agencies,• Law Enforcement Agencies,• Bremer County Dispatchers,• CERT from Bremer, Butler, and Cerro Gordo Counties,• Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management,• Star 1 (search guidance and canines),• Iowa State Patrol,• Iowa Department of Natural Resources,• Black Hawk County Conservation,• Iowa Department of Transportation,• American Red Cross,• Salvation Army,• Area churches,• Private pilots who flew many flights over several days,• Drone operators who conducted low altitude flights in multiple areas,• Kayakers who paddled area waterways,• ATV Operators,• Horse Teams,• National Weather Service – Des Moines office• Local News Media,• The hundreds of family members, friends, and volunteers (many who we never learned your names),• Those who donated food, water, insect repellent,• And the countless folks who have and continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.We want to express a special “Thank You” to the Plainfield Fire Department and City of Plainfield for their support during this difficult time.
