Lot to shout about

Lead Summary

It was a highly anticipated matchup between two ranked teams to start Northeast Iowa Conference play, as Class 3A No. 9 New Hampton took on Class 4A 15th ranked Charles City last Tuesday.
However, the game wasn’t nearly as close as most people thought it would be, which was a good thing for the Chickasaws. New Hampton swept the Comets in three sets 3-0 - in large part due to a dominating individual performance by Rachel Rinken.
“Going into Tuesday’s match, we knew had to have our A game on,” Rinken said. “We figured Charles City was going to try their hardest to beat us, but we easily shut them out.”
