 Kathleen A. Uglum, age 64 of New Hampton, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016 at her home in New Hampton.A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton with Brad Wysomierski officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday. Burial will be held at a later date. Online condolences for Kathy’s family may be left at www.conway-markhamfh.com. Memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice.Kathleen Ann “Kathy” was born on Sept. 26, 1952 to David and Lavonne (Hahn) Troyna in New Hampton. She graduated from New Hampton High School in 1970. After graduating Kathy worked for St. Joseph Hospital in New Hampton. On June 9, 1973, Kathy was united in marriage to Riley Uglum at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton. The couple moved to Chicago where Kathy began working for the head of the Math Department at Illinois Institute of Technology while Riley attended Optometry school at Illinois College of Optometry. They returned to New Hampton in 1976 where they welcomed their two children, Stephanie and Brian. Kathy became office manager of Eye Care Associates in 1982 in which capacity she continued until 2015. She had a passion for golf and traveling. Kathy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her seven grandchildren. Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Riley Uglum of New Hampton; her two children, Stephanie (Mathew) Coyle of Excelsior, Minn. and Brian (Erin) Uglum of New Hampton; her grandchildren, Brady, Henry, Austin, Keziah, Adah, Eden, and Blaze; her siblings, Rick (Cindy) Troyna of Raymond, Peggy Troyna of Tripoli, Donna (Marcia Hutchinson) Troyna of Redwood City, Calif., Dan (Barb) Troyna of Allison, Dennis (Marj) Troyna of New Hampton, Barb (Dana) Boomgarden of Anoka, Minn. and Karen (Tim) Rogers of Le Mars, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Lavonne (Hahn) Troyna.
