I am sitting here on a Sunday evening wrapped up in emotions I didn’t see coming when I came to the office earlier today.

While many people are skeptical on this year’s time for trick-or-treating on Halloween I say embrace it!
New Hampton volunteers are trying something new this year and I see a great opportunity for kids and adults alike.

It’s Monday morning here at the Tribune and I just took a quick glance at Brittany Bierle’s column, which is about Halloween.

Merle Henry Hoffman, 91, of Marshalltown, passed peacefully and quietly at the home of his daughter in Sun City, Ariz. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015.

Bruce E. Qualley, age 64 of Jerico, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at his home.

Thomas E. Trewin, age 74 of Fredericksburg, passed away on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at his home.

Mildred “Millie” Martha Briggs, age 96, of New Hampton, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 at New Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center in New Hampton.

David J. Rochford, age 35 of New Hampton, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton.

Roy William Bierschenk age 82 of Nashua, died Friday Oct. 30, 2015, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison.
