A good start to the new year

Lead Summary

It took a while for the New Hampton boys basketball team to kick the Christmas break rust off, but when they finally did, everything seemed to click.
“It was a slow start. Our team had to force some of the action ourselves, and I think we did that defensively,” Chickasaw coach Ryan Rausch said. “A few shots went in for us, and we were off to the races from there.”
Their opponent for this first game of the new year was AGWSR. It was a part of the annual Holiday Shootout held at Upper Iowa University that took place on Saturday.
