Farmers want a break from weather

Lead Summary

Terry Basol has said for two months now that farmers can bring in a good crop if they can just get it out of the fields.
The ISU Extension agronomist based at the Northeast Research and Demonstration Farm near Nashua still believes that, but it’s getting to be crunch time for growers.
“It’s the story of this season,” Basol said, “and the guys are getting frustrated. I don’t blame them. She just hasn’t been very kind to us in 2019.”
