Families, teachers gearing up for the start of school year

New Hampton schools will start in exactly 10 days, and as construction on the new school kicks into high gear, we caught up with some families and teachers to see how they are preparing for the first day. 
Jake and Cassie Hackman have five daughters – Kinsley will be in seventh, Kayme in fifth, Kallie in third, Kourtney in kindergarten, and Kenlyn, two years old, is not quite school age yet. Cassie says they have been starting to get ready for school these past few weeks. 
“We’ve got school shopping done [and] we’re registered. Volleyball camp last week [for the three oldest] got them back into fall sports. Haircuts, doctors, and dentist next week.”
