The circus comes to Nashua this August

 Lions, tigers and bears in Nashua, oh my! Start making plans to attend the circus which will be in town this summer and an exciting event for the whole family. The Culpepper and Merriweather Circus will be in Nashua on Aug. 1 to perform two shows. The shows begin at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. under the big top at the Big 4 Fairgrounds. Terry Hinrichs said, “The Nashua Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to be bringing the circus to Nashua and all proceeds we earn from this event will be reinvested back into the community.”Founded in 1985 the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus now travel to 18 states for about eight months out of the year.  The home office is located in Hugo, Oklahoma also known as Circus City, USA.  They perform in a different town every day with their six company trucks and 40 employees.Tickets will be going on sale this summer.  Ticket cost will be $10 for adults and $7 for children in advance. Tickets will also be available at the door for $13 for adults and $8 for children and there will be no charge for children under two years of age.
