Chickasaws find positives on the mat

Lead Summary

Take out the Charles City meet, and you know what? It wasn’t all that bad of a week for the New Hampton/Turkey Valley wrestling team.
The Chickasaws picked up two wins in a hastily put together triangular at Forest City on Tuesday and also welcomed back one of their senior leaders as they finished a solid third at the Denver Duals on Saturday.
“Take out Charles City [a 50-9 loss] and it wasn’t that bad of a week,” New Hampton/Turkey Valley coach Matt Paulus said. “We had some good things happen, we saw some fight from some guys and we got Hunter [Pesek] back, which is huge for our team.”
