Chickasaws end skid in postseason opener
After ending the regular season riding a four-game losing streak, the New Hampton baseball team reverted back to their winning ways in their first district contest against Lake Mills last Tuesday at Mikkelson Park.
“We know what we are capable of doing, so I don’t think that those losses before affected us as much as others or even ourselves thought it would,” Mason Cleveland said. “This win is huge for us, and I think we are back to playing baseball the way we know how to play.”
Lake Mills entered the game with a solid record of 18-10 but fell to the Chickasaws by a final score of 3-0 in this district semifinal matchup.
