Chickasaw boys end first day at state

Lead Summary

Led by Carter Stochl's 72, New Hampton's boys ended the first day of the 2A state golf tournament in seventh place with their team score of 317. Sheldon leads the standings with their 18-hole total of 294 and Clear Lake is second at 301. In the individual race, Stochl is in a six-way tie for fourth place with his score. Sheldon's Tyler Merley is currently atop the standings with a 68. Wyatt Stochl's first-day total was 79, both Aden Zwanziger and Ryan Anderson came in with an 83 while both Eric Shatek and Keegan Tenge had an 84.
Play resumes tomorrow morning at the meet, which is being held at the Lakeside Municipal course near Fort Dodge.
